REVOLUTION

The fifth tabletop happening of 5×7 UNDERGROUND occurred on Friday, February 2nd, 2018 from 5-7 p.m.  “Revolution” was the fifth theme and chosen by member, Peter Towson, who also declined to add an additional stipulation.

5×7 UNDERGROUND met at Old Town Grill in Hampstead, Maryland.  What a pleasant surprise!  This was the first time anyone from the group had visited Old Town Grill and probably not the last.  A spacious private booth in the middle of the restaurant was the setting for the first tabletop happening of 2018.   Plenty of room, very good food and although only four beers on tap, a couple of quality brews could be found.  This particular happening also marked the the completion of an entire rotation of theme selections by members.  Artists in attendance included: Jeff Sharp, Mary Beth Francis, Jim Roberts, Lauren Latané-Valis, and Peter Towson.

Members found this theme very inspirational due to the current issues and world events taking place.  After each artist presented their work in rotation, the work was displayed for a gallery photograph.  Each work was also photographed individually and are displayed in separate post in the image isolation gallery.  Jeff Sharp and Lauren Latané-Valis presented an additional works for this theme.  We hope you enjoy the art and will visit us again.  Feel free to leave some comments below.
