MEMORY

The ninth tabletop happening of 5×7 UNDERGROUND occurred on Friday, October 26th, 2018 from 5-7 p.m.  “Memory” was the theme and chosen by member, Lauren Latané-Valis.

5×7 UNDERGROUND met at Rafael’s Restaurant in Westminster, Maryland.  The group managed to secure a window table and ate, drank, shared artwork and discussed for over three hours!  Artists in attendance included: Jeff Sharp, Mary Beth Francis, Jim Roberts, and Lauren Latané-Valis.

Each artist present their interpretation of memory, beginning with Lauren Latané-Valis.  Jim Roberts also announced his participation in the 2018 Carroll County Artists’ Studio Tour.

After each artist presented their work in rotation, the work was displayed for a gallery photograph.  Each work was also photographed individually and are displayed in separate post in the image isolation gallery.  We hope you enjoy the art and will visit us again!

5×7 UNDERGROUND also received an online submission for this theme from Portland, Oregon artist, Scott Mills!  Check out his work on our Facebook group page!

Feel free to leave some comments below and visit and/or join our Facebook group as we invite all interested artists to create an interpretation of the next theme, “saturation” (5″x7″ or smaller please) and post it to our Facebook group page. 5×7 UNDERGROUND will then post their artworks after the next happening on January 11th.
