The eighteenth tabletop happening of 5×7 UNDERGROUND occurred on Friday, May 22nd, 2020 from 6-7 p.m. “Isolation” was the theme and chosen by member, Lauren Latané-Valis. Living in quarantine since mid-March, isolation turned out to be a very fitting theme indeed!

With more time at home to make artwork (or at least think about making artwork), 5×7 UNDERGROUND decided to meet again only one month after their last meet up! However, due to the Stay at Home order, 5×7 UNDERGROUND retreated once again to the safety of their homes and studios for their second ZOOM virtual meet up. Artists in attendance included: Jeff Sharp, Mary Beth Francis, Jim Roberts, Lauren Latané-Valis, and Thomas Sterner.

Each artist revealed their interpretations of isolation, beginning with Lauren Latané-Valis.

After each artist presented their work in rotation, the work was displayed for a gallery screenshot. Each work was also photographed individually and are displayed in the formal gallery. We hope you enjoy the art and will visit us again.
